In September 2019, 72-year-old Brother Shamus McGrenra, a stage 4 colon cancer survivor, will embark on his 9th annual #GoBroShamus Charity Bike Ride. Br. Shamus will start pedaling at the Queen of Peace Friary in the Upper Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA and travel to NYC by way of Cumberland, MD, Washington, D.C., Lewes, DE, Cape May, and Philadelphia. Br. Shamus will conclude his journey at The Catholic Worker, co-founded by Dorothy Day.
Donate to help Brother Shamus reach his goal to raise $55,000 for the Dorothy Day Center at Saint Francis University, a benchmark that would break his previous donation records. In the past 8 years, Brother Shamus's cycling trips have raised $326,000 for rural poverty.

For the first time, the Saint Francis University chapter of Sideline Cancer has partnered with Bro. Shamus to support his annual charity bicycle ride to benefit the Dorothy Day Outreach Center. The group will host fundraisers on campus this September to raise money for the Bro. Shamus Charity Ride.
