The teaching curriculum begins with a comprehensive liberal arts education, supported by a foundation of educational history and philosophy, teaching and testing methods, and child development and psychology.

In the education program, you’ll work with professors who have extensive experience in schools as teachers and administrators—specialists in early childhood education, elementary education, special education, secondary education, reading and content areas. They are caring, dedicated professionals who love teaching and are committed to developing well qualified teacher candidates. The small student to teacher ratio of 14/1 ensures that education majors receive much individualized attention.
