Dr. Meng Hu received his PhD in Environmental
Engineering from the University of Maryland in 2015. He earned his MS degree at
the University of Nebraska and BS degree at Huazhong University of Science and
Technology, both in Civil Engineering. Prior to joining Saint Francis
University, he was a Postdoc Fellow in the Department of Environmental Health
and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University.
Dr. Hu’s research interests include developing highly
efficient membrane technologies for water and wastewater treatment and the
augmentation of clean water supply, removing emerging contaminants, and
understanding the environmental health impacts of innovative nano-materials. He
has mentored six undergraduate students during his graduate studies, and
discovered his passion for undergraduate teaching in Environmental Engineering
and General Engineering.
