IHS Donates Nearly $1.4 Million in Software Packages to SFU Engineering Program

(Loretto, PA) – Geoscience/Engineering students at Saint Francis University will continue to have access to IHS software packages of Petra, Kingdom Pakaged SuitPlus, Harmony, Piper and WellTest, thanks to a nearly $1.4 million donation from IHS Inc. (NYSE: IHS), the leading source of critical information and insight. These software packages are widely used in the oil and gas industry, to characterize oil and gas reservoir, to manage oil and gas production, to design wells, and to test well performance. Our students will benefit from these software packages when they work on their class projects, summer research, etc. Our faculty members will use them in both teaching and research.
