SFU 2018 Alumni Directory project is underway

Miss your friends and classmates?  Want to reconnect?  The 2018 SFU Alumni Directory can help you do just that!

Every five years, the Saint Francis University Alumni Association produces a directory of alumni.  Our 2018 directory project is now underway. 

We are partnering with Publishing Concepts, Inc. (PCI) to publish the 2018 SFU Alumni Directory. You may have received (or soon will receive) a postcard communications asking you to update your contact information. In the age of scammers, we wanted you to know that this request is coming from the university. 

From now through May 2018, PCI will be contacting SFU alumni via mail, phone and email to request that you update your information and offer you the opportunity to purchase an alumni directory.

In addition to helping us produce this valuable networking tool that helps Red Flash alumni connect with other alumni, your participation in the project also allows the SFU Alumni Association to receive important updates to our database so we can more effectively engage you with your alma mater and better serve current and future alumni.


1.     I received an email/postcard/phone call from a company asking for my personal information. They said they were working on a directory for the SFU Alumni Association. Is this a legitimate project, or is it a scam?

We have partnered with Publishing Concepts, Inc. (known as PCI) to produce our new SFU Alumni Directory.  We understand that security and privacy are of concern.  PCI is a trusted partner of the SFU Alumni Association, having also produced our most recent directory. PCI is a company located in Dallas, TX, and Chesapeake, VA, that publishes directories for educational institutions, fraternities, sororities and military organizations across the nation.

This project also allows the SFU Alumni Association to receive important updates to our database so we know more about our alumni and how we can better serve you and future alumni.


2.     How do I know my information will only be used for directory purposes?

The SFU Alumni Association has a contractual agreement with PCI that states:

The names, addresses and information provided to PCI by the SFU Alumni Association for the publication of the directory will be held confidential by PCI, except to the extent that they are utilized in, or in the preparation of, the directory and except as required by court order or law.

The directory will be made available for purchase only by alumni of SFU. Upon completion of the project, PCI will return to the SFU Alumni Association any and all electronic files that have been supplied by the SFU Alumni Association or produced by PCI in connection with the production of the directory.

3.     I would like to verify and update my information. How may I do this?

If you have received a postcard or an email with a telephone number, you may call the number to speak with a dedicated representative for the SFU Alumni Directory project. The representative will verify all the information we have on file for you and make any updates where needed. They may also ask you for some additional information about your time at SFU and your family to make additions to your existing record.

If you have received an email with an embedded link, you may go to the online site to review your information. If you have questions, you may call PCI’s customer service desk at 1-888-370-1573. 

4.     Can anyone purchase a directory?

The 2018 SFU Alumni Directory is expected to be published in December 2018 and is available for sale only to SFU alumni.

5.     Can I choose some or all of my information not to be printed in the directory?

When you call to update your information, you can tell the representative what information you would prefer to have excluded. You may also communicate this information to the PCI customer service desk at 1-888-370-1573. 

6.     When will I receive my directory?

The total duration of the Directory project is 12-13 months. We are scheduled to begin the project in November 2017, with an anticipated delivery date in December 2018.

7.     Are there any alternatives to ordering a printed directory?

Yes, PCI also makes the directory information available in a digital format.

8.     I ordered a directory/package over the phone and would like to cancel my order. How do I do this?

Call the PCI customer service help desk at 1-888-370-1573, and they will take care of this for you.
