Communications majors presented Social Media Strategies for Non-profits at the Blair County Chamber of Commerce on Friday, December 7, 2018.
Accompanied by Communications chair Dr. Kelly Rhodes, Haley Thomas, Teresa Narduzzi, Aidan Sweeney, Katie Kitchen, Urska Medvesek, and Payton Huber discussed how non-profits can effectively reach millennials by using creative, social-media-based communications.
The students were part of Rhodes' Group Communications course in the Fall semester where they worked with the United Way of Blair County as their community partner. United Way director, Melanie Shildt was so pleased with the students' efforts that she invited them to present at the Chamber Event to share their findings with other non-profit organizations.
