Saint Francis University has been named a 2019 Sheetz Premier Tier School Partner. It is the second consecutive year SFU has earned the achievement.
Saint Francis began its partnership with Sheetz 22 years ago on behalf of its MBA program. "We are pleased by the announcement," said Shields School of Business Dean Dr. Randy Frye. "This recognition has been earned through educational engagement plans and the special relationship we've built with Sheetz since 1997. We look forward to continuing this partnership with one of the Pennsylvania's leading corporations."
Sheetz employees typically enroll in Saint Francis undergraduate and graduate business programs, including the Adult Degree Continuing Studies business offerings. A large number of Saint Francis business alumni have made their careers at Sheetz.
"Saint Francis has been an educational partner with Sheetz for over 20 years," said Amy O’Brien, Sheetz Employee Programs Coordinator. "SFU has provided great financial discounts, on-site classes, and has tailored programs to meet the unique needs of Sheetz. We believe Saint Francis has distinguished itself in its customer care and quality of education provided to our employees."
The Sheetz Premier Tier of Educational Partners was established in 2018. Determined on a yearly basis, the 2019 Tier contains the top three schools that provide the best value for Sheetz employees. Saint Francis met the deciding criteria that the University is regionally accredited, has online programs available across all six states of Sheetz's operation, provides at least a 15% discount for Sheetz employees, and provides excellent financial incentives, customer care, and positive employee/student experiences.
Sheetz spreads its footprint over six states with over 585 stores and generates more than $7.25 billion in annual sales, marking itself as one of the most profitable and innovative convenience store chains in the country. The chain employs more than 18,900, including several thousand in Blair County alone.
