    Hepatology - Baltimore, PA (05/03/2018)

    The Physician Assistant will work with the hepatology practice with in the Institute for Digestive Health and Liver Disease on all aspects of patient care including evaluation, diagnosis and education. This includes both the inpatient and outpatient setting. The candidate must be able to work independently in a clinical setting. The candidate must be willing to travel to offsite clinics. The Physician Assistant will participate in academic research alongside our experienced coordinators. The candidate will optimize patient care and coordination involving liver transplant. 

    • Must be the graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program with Board certification or eligibility.
    • Two years of experience as a practicing PA preferred.
    • Gastroenterology or Hepatology or Transplant experience is desirable, but not required.
    • Must possess Current State Licensure.
    • Must obtain CPR Certification within six (6) months of hire.
    • Must possess skills in the use of various computers and software programs.
    • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
    •  Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
    • Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.

    Gastroenterology - Altoona, PA (04/20/2018)
    • Blair Gastroenterology Associates is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant, licensed in Pennsylvania, to join our busy and growing practice. The Physician Assistant will join ten other mid-level providers and will be working with eight Gastroenterologists in the ambulatory office setting with some hospital rotations over time if interested.
    • Blair Gastroenterology Associates is the largest independent group of Gastroenterologists between Pittsburgh and Harrisburg. Blair Gastro leads the region with high-quality and advanced patient care. The practice is composed of the Allegheny Regional Endoscopy Center and an office complex with more than 20 exam and procedure rooms, in-office lab, an infusion lab, locations in Ebensburg and Bedford, Pennsylvania, and other future office locations that are planned.
    • This position is a Monday through Friday position, working in the office setting with daylight hours.
    • You will be part of a team of Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants that works independently while collaborating at times with physicians. No night or weekend call will be expected.
